We are pleased to announce the expansion of the Foundation in Politics Program to Claremont Middle School in Oakland! The first cohort will begin participating in the program in Fall 2019 and graduate at the end of Fall 2020. Please see below for details.
Date & Time: Monday & Wednesday (incorporated with Claremont Middle School’s after school program)
Location: Claremont Middle School
Cost: FREE
Eligibility: Must be a current 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student (see demographics section of application)
Highlights
- Learn about politics, leadership, and advocacy.
- Understand the formation of the US government.
- Discuss major events in history and their effects on specific people.
- Complete a final project on an event in history.
- Meet new friends with shared interests.
- The program is FREE
